Metro Official Admits Fear of Riding Public Transit Alone Amidst Violent Attacks

In response to a series of violent attacks on Los Angeles Metro, a board member has expressed fear and reluctance to use the public transportation system alone. The Board of Directors has declared a public safety emergency after a woman was fatally stabbed at the Studio City Metro stop. The Los Angeles Police Department has arrested a suspect, Elliot Tramel Nowden, for the murder. Other incidents include a bus driver stabbing in Willowbrook and a stabbing in the Silver Lake neighborhood. The Board has approved safety measures, including shatterproof glass barriers around drivers, increased security cameras, and facial recognition technology. They may also consider banning problematic individuals from Metro.
