A 35-year-old Kolkata woman named Varsha Sahu accidentally inhaled the screw from her nose pin two months ago. The screw had become lodged in her lung, causing breathing difficulties, a cough, and pneumonia. After seeking medical attention and undergoing a CT scan, Varsha was diagnosed with the foreign object in her lung. Dr. Debraj Jash, a pulmonologist at Kolkata’s Medica Superspecialty Hospital, performed a 30-minute surgery to remove the screw.
