Intensified Measures to Address Street Crimes and Kidnappings

The Sindh apex committee, led by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, has taken key decisions to address the increasing trends of street crimes, armed robberies, and kidnappings.

The committee has decided to adopt special measures to monitor the sale of stolen or snatched mobile phones and vehicles in the markets of Karachi. The police department has also been directed to reactivate the Shaheen Force and revamp Madadgar-15. Additionally, police pickets will be established to strengthen the left bank of the River Indus and contain the dacoits within the katcha area.

The Sindh apex committee has devised a comprehensive plan to address the rising concerns of street crimes and abductions by katcha (riverine area) dacoits. The measures include enhanced monitoring of stolen property markets, reactivation of the Shaheen Force, revamping of Madadgar-15, establishment of police pickets along the River Indus, and crackdowns on terror financing related to kidnappings. The plan aims to strengthen law enforcement efforts and provide better protection to citizens.
