The Maharashtra government has allocated ₹10 crore to the Waqf Board for the welfare of minorities in the financial year 24-25. The Bombay High Court has issued a notice to BJP MLA Nitesh Rane in response to a petition filed by the Maharashtra government seeking cancellation of his bail granted in an attempt to murder case. The bail was granted by the Sindhudurg session court in February 2022.
