A significant fire erupted at a building in the Manipur secretariat complex, close to Chief Minister N Biren Singh’s official residence, on Saturday. Firefighters rushed to the scene with three fire tenders to control the blaze. No injuries or casualties have been reported thus far. The cause of the fire is still being investigated. According to NDTV, the building is also adjacent to the Kuki Inpi’s office, a civil society organization representing the Kuki tribes. This incident follows an attack on CM Biren Singh’s advance convoy in Jiribam due to reports of renewed violence in the area.
