Maratha Quota Activist Manoj Jarange Patil Ends Hunger Strike

Manoj Jarange Patil, a prominent activist demanding reservation for the Maratha community in Maharashtra, ended his nine-day hunger strike on Wednesday. He called off the protest citing the sentiments of the community, but vowed to fight for their inclusion under the OBC category. Patil also expressed disappointment over the government’s delay in implementing the draft notification on ‘sage-soyare’ inclusion and vowed to continue protests after the polls.
