Masdar, the UAE’s clean energy powerhouse, and Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy have signed an agreement to build a 1GW wind farm in Mingbulak, Uzbekistan. This project, the first phase of a broader 2GW wind energy strategy, will create 1,000 jobs during construction and deliver clean energy to 300,000 homes upon completion.
Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) and Albania’s Power Corporation (KESH) have signed a joint venture agreement to explore the development of massive renewable energy projects in Albania. The partnership aims to leverage Albania’s abundant natural resources and Masdar’s global expertise to accelerate the country’s clean energy transition and supply power to both Albania and neighboring countries.
Masdar, the UAE’s clean energy powerhouse, has announced its proposed acquisition of Saeta Yield, a leading renewable energy company in Spain and Portugal, from Brookfield Renewable for an implied enterprise value of approximately US$1.4 billion. This strategic move strengthens Masdar’s presence in the Iberian Peninsula and positions it for continued growth in one of Europe’s largest renewable energy markets.
