Texas Rangers’ Max Scherzer made his first start since undergoing back surgery with the Triple-A affiliate team on Wednesday. The experienced pitcher is facing a lengthy rehab period before activation, with a strict pitch count of approximately 50. Scherzer’s return is targeted for midsummer, providing a potential pitching boost for the Rangers alongside Jacob deGrom and Tyler Mahle, who are also recovering from injuries.
