Carter’s prominent television roles include ‘Company of Killers,’ ‘McCloud,’ and ‘Battlestar Galactica.’ He also reprised his role as Colonel Tigh in the 1978 film adaptation.

Carter received numerous accolades, including an Emmy Award for ‘K*I*D*S,’ which he created, produced, and directed. He also produced and directed ‘A Duke Named Ellington,’ an Emmy-nominated documentary about jazz legend Duke Ellington.
