Mondelez (MDLZ) Shares Dip as JAB Acquires Majority Stake in JDE Peet’s

Mondelez International (MDLZ) shares are trading lower on Monday following the announcement that JAB Holding Company has acquired a majority stake in JDE Peet’s, the world’s leading pure-play coffee and tea company. JAB acquired 86 million shares of JDE Peet’s and also distributed shares to its limited partners, significantly increasing the free float of JDE Peet’s shares. This transaction marks the final distribution of JDE Peet’s shares to JAB Consumer Partners investors, leaving JAB with a controlling 68% stake in the company.
