Middle East Airlines (MEA) has announced free booking changes for passengers affected by flight schedule adjustments in early September. These adjustments are due to ongoing issues with aircraft insurance risks, particularly for flights between Lebanon and other countries. The revised schedule includes delayed incoming and outgoing flights from Beirut, affecting various destinations including Dubai, Doha, Istanbul, Jeddah, and Kuwait. Passengers booked on these flights are eligible for one free change to their booking.

Karnataka Government Seeks Revocation of Prajwal Revanna’s Diplomatic Passport Amid Sexual Harassment Charges

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is processing a request from the Karnataka government to cancel the diplomatic passport of suspended JD(U) MP Prajwal Revanna, who is facing sexual harassment charges. The request was made in light of an arrest warrant issued against Revanna by a Special Court for Elected Representatives. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging the cancellation of Revanna’s passport. Revanna, who fled the country on April 27, 2024, is accused of several incidents of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation. He is the grandson of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and contested as the NDA candidate in the polls from Hassan.

MEA: Protests in PoK Stem from Islamabad’s Resource Plundering

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has attributed the recent protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to Islamabad’s systematic plundering of resources from the region. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that Pakistan’s exploitative policies have deprived the local people of their rightful resources and benefits. The MEA reiterates that Jammu, Ladakh, and Kashmir are integral parts of India and will always remain so.
