Key medicines and equipment are dwindling or altogether absent, and violence has forced several medical institutions to close. The situation is leaving a growing number of patients with cancer, AIDS and other serious illnesses with little to no recourse. Despite the pressing need for medical care, Doctors Without Borders has been forced to cut the number of outpatients it treats daily.
