Lynsey Hope tested a range of budget bathroom sprays against big brands Cif and Method, and found that some supermarket own brands can clean just as well for less. Lidl’s cleaner was cheap but not effective, while Tesco’s spray was a better bet. Cif’s spray was excellent but pricey, while Sainsbury’s product had a faulty nozzle. Method’s cleaner was effective but expensive, and Aldi’s spray was quick and easy to use. Morrisons’ spray had a strong citrus scent and was good for general cleaning, while Asda’s spray was powerful and effective. Overall, Tesco’s spray was the best budget option, while Cif’s spray was the best overall choice.
