The Battle for AI Supremacy: AMD Unveils Strix Point Ryzen AI Processors

The race for AI performance has intensified with AMD’s launch of its Strix Point Ryzen AI processors. These processors feature capable neural processing units (NPUs) integrated with discrete GPUs, offering a significant advantage in AI horsepower. Microsoft kicked off this battle with its requirement for a 40 TOPS (trillions of operations per second) NPU, but AMD’s new processors boast a 50 TOPS NPU and an additional 320 TOPS from the RTX 4070. This combination makes them the most powerful AI laptops on the market.

Microsoft Copilot Comes to Telegram, but with Limitations

Microsoft’s Copilot, an AI-powered assistant, is now available as a bot on Telegram. However, the service is currently unavailable in the EU and has a daily limit of 30 messages. Users will need to verify their phone number to use the bot, which is based on GPT-4, GPT-3.5, and Microsoft’s in-house models. The Copilot bot offers commands for restarting the chat, sharing the bot with friends, and getting ideas for usage. Microsoft plans to expand Copilot’s integration to other messaging apps, including WhatsApp, but details are yet to be announced.
