Nearly 40 students from a private school in Thane, Maharashtra, were hospitalized after consuming food served during the mid-day meal program. The students, who reportedly ate ‘Khichdi,’ complained of nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. While all students are stable, food samples have been collected for testing. This incident follows similar incidents in other parts of India where students became ill after consuming school meals, highlighting concerns about food safety in educational institutions.
