Milind Kumar, a former Delhi batter and Ranji Trophy top run-getter, has been selected for the United States of America’s T20 World Cup squad. The USA, a co-host of the event alongside the West Indies, announced its 15-member squad to be led by Gujarat-born Monank Patel. Joining Kumar in the squad are former Mumbai left-arm spinner Harmeet Singh and Mumbai-born pacer Saurabh Nethravalkar. Notable absentees from the squad include former India U-19 World Cup-winning captain Unmukt Chand and Smit Patel. The USA will start their T20 World Cup campaign against neighbors Canada on the opening day of the tournament and are also grouped alongside India, Pakistan, and Ireland in Group A.
