Separatist Militants Kill 39 in Coordinated Attacks in Pakistan’s Balochistan

Separatist militants, primarily the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), carried out coordinated attacks across multiple districts in Balochistan, Pakistan, killing at least 39 people, including 10 soldiers. The attacks targeted civilians, particularly ethnic Punjabis, and involved shootings, a bridge bombing, and a hotel storming. The BLA claims their fight is against the Pakistani military and seeks independence for Balochistan.

Encounter in Pulwama, Arms Cache Recovered in Kupwara

On Monday, an encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The search operation turned into an encounter after militants fired on the forces, who retaliated. The exchange of fire is ongoing with no casualties reported yet. Meanwhile, a joint operation by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police in Kupwara resulted in the recovery of a large cache of arms, ammunition, and war-like stores. Additionally, three Indian Army lieutenant colonels and 13 others have been named in a case related to the violent attack on the Kupwara police station on May 30. In a separate incident, the Indian Army eliminated three terrorists in ‘Operation Redwani Payeen’ in Kulgam on May 6.
