Thailand and Europe emerged as key markets, with hotels in those regions reporting high occupancy and rate growth. Minor Hotels aims to expand its network by adding 200 new hotels by 2026.
Minor Hotels, a prominent global hotel owner and operator, has appointed Puneet Dhawan as Head of Asia, effective July 2024. Dhawan will lead the company’s expansion plans in Asia and India, reporting directly to CEO Dillip Rajakarier. With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, Dhawan brings a wealth of expertise to Minor Hotels. Previously, he held senior leadership positions at Accor, including Senior Vice President of Operations for India & South Asia and Vice President of Operations for the Middle East. Dhawan played a key role in launching India’s first Raffles hotel during his tenure at Accor. He began his hospitality career at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in the Philippines and Hong Kong.

Lokesh brings over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in developing and managing strategic business operations.
