The Tesoro Titans have emerged victorious in the competitive South Coast League softball race, securing their first league title since 2011. Led by a solid defense and the pitching prowess of Loula-Rae McNamara, the Titans defeated Mission Viejo 6-4 on Wednesday, sealing their triumph. McNamara played a pivotal role, striking out five batters and allowing only one earned run. The Titans’ impressive lineup also contributed to their success, with the first four batters getting on base in the opening inning. Mission Viejo, ranked 10th in CIF-SS Division 2, posed a challenge with a 4-4 tie in the second inning, but Tesoro held firm and clinched the title.
