Lyft Partners with Intel’s Mobileye and May Mobility for Autonomous Ride-Hailing

Ride-hailing giant Lyft has announced partnerships with Intel’s Mobileye and May Mobility to bring autonomous vehicles to its platform. This move signifies Lyft’s commitment to the future of transportation and positions them as a major player in the burgeoning autonomous ride-hailing market. Starting in Atlanta in 2025, Lyft customers will be able to hail autonomous Toyota Sienna minivans, equipped with May Mobility’s technology. Meanwhile, Lyft will also integrate Mobileye’s self-driving technology into its network, making it accessible to future AV operators across North America.

Mobileye Beats Earnings Estimates, But Revenue Declines and Goodwill Impairment Hits

Mobileye Global Inc (NASDAQ: MBLY) reported a slight revenue decline in its fiscal third quarter of 2024, but still managed to beat analysts’ estimates for both revenue and earnings per share. The company’s adjusted operating margin took a hit due to lower gross margins, and a significant goodwill impairment charge was recorded. Despite these challenges, Mobileye’s CEO remains optimistic about the future, citing strategic objectives focused on expanding their Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) market share.
