Anwar Ali Cleared to Play for East Bengal in ISL

Indian defender Anwar Ali has been cleared to play for East Bengal in the Indian Super League (ISL) after receiving an interim NOC from the All India Football Federation’s Player Status Committee. The decision comes after a legal battle stemming from his transfer from Delhi FC, which saw him slapped with a hefty fine and transfer bans for both his new and previous clubs. The final decision on the fine and transfer bans is expected on September 30.
