Monsoon Expected to Reach Delhi by End of Week, Bringing Relief from Heat

The monsoon is predicted to arrive in Delhi by the end of this week, offering a much-needed respite from the current humid weather conditions. Skymet Weather Services has forecast the monsoon’s arrival on June 29th or 30th, while the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not provided a specific date. The IMD, however, has issued a forecast for scattered light to moderate rainfall across several regions, including Delhi, from June 27th onwards.

India Braces for Heavy Rainfall as Monsoon Advances

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a series of weather alerts across India, predicting heavy rainfall in various regions. Delhi is under a yellow alert for heavy rainfall until July 1, while Sikkim and West Bengal are under a red alert for exceptionally intense rainfall. Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are under an orange alert, signifying significant precipitation. The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into parts of North Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and southeast Rajasthan.
