Spain and Morocco Contemplate High-Speed Train Link Across Strait of Gibraltar

Spain and Morocco are considering building a high-speed train link across the Strait of Gibraltar, which could drastically reduce travel times between the two countries. The project, which has been discussed since 1979, would involve building a 27.6-kilometer tunnel between Punta Paloma in Spain and Punta Malabata in Morocco. The tunnel would be deep as 300 meters and is expected to cost billions of euros. A high-speed train connection between Spain and Morocco would provide a quicker, more comfortable, and potentially cheaper alternative to current methods of travel, which mainly consists of ferry services and flights.

Radisson Hotel Group has expanded its portfolio in Morocco with the opening of Radisson Hotel Casablanca Gauthier La Citadelle, marking the entry of its upscale Radisson brand in the country. Located in the vibrant Gauthier district, the hotel offers 133 well-appointed rooms, including nine suites, each featuring a relaxation area and dedicated workspace. Guests can enjoy culinary delights at the Braise Restaurant with wood-fired cuisine and panoramic views, or savor cocktails and bar bites at the Bliss rooftop bar and restaurant. For events, the hotel provides 450 square meters of meeting and event spaces, including a ballroom and five meeting rooms with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology.

Digital boarding passes not accepted at all airports warns Ryanair

Budget airline Ryanair has issued a warning to British tourists that digital boarding passes won’t be accepted at all airports it flies to. The airline spokesperson said that while mobile boarding passes are accepted on flights from the majority of airports, there are some exceptions. Currently, airports in Turkey, Morocco, and Tirana Airport in Albania are unable to accept mobile boarding passes. Passengers traveling from these airports must check-in online and print out a paper boarding pass for their flight(s) or may face additional charges.
