In a bid to promote road safety, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Amara Athar has announced a stringent crackdown on motorcyclists who violate helmet rules. Effective immediately, riders without helmets will be prohibited from using major roads such as Mall Road, Canal Road, and Jail Road. Violators will face a challan of Rs2,000. This measure is part of a broader effort to reduce accidents and prioritize citizen safety on Lahore’s roads.
