A 62-year-old man tragically lost his life on Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a street with a wheelbarrow. The incident occurred in the 3100 block of West Carpenter Road around 5 p.m. Emergency responders were swiftly dispatched to the scene but unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash is currently underway.
