Surendra Harmalkar Elected as MCA Councillor in Tight Race

Surendra Harmalkar, backed by the ruling party led by president Ajinkya Naik, emerged victorious in the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) councillor election, defeating Deepan Mistry in a close contest. The election was held to fill the vacancy created by Abhay Hadap’s promotion to secretary. This victory marks the third consecutive win for Naik’s group, solidifying their hold on the MCA.

Abhay Hadap Elected as Mumbai Cricket Association Secretary

Abhay Hadap has been elected as the new secretary of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), defeating Suraj Samat in a close contest. Hadap, backed by the MCA president and maidan clubs, secured 196 votes out of 337, while Samat, who was proposed by Sachin Tendulkar, received 141. This election was necessitated by the passing of the previous president, Amol Kale, and the subsequent elevation of Ajinkya Naik.
