Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has thrown a spanner in the works of the Shiv Sena-led alliance in the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency by opposing the Sena’s preferred candidates. MNS’s objection to Sanjay Nirupam and Ravindra Waikar has the potential to upset the Sena’s chances in the constituency, where Marathi voters hold significant influence.
