Mumbai-Pune Expressway Speed Limit Updated for Enhanced Commuter Safety

To ensure commuter safety, the speed limit on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, including the Bhor Ghat section, has been updated. The new speed limits are strictly enforced using CCTV cameras. Upon entering the ghat section, the speed limit for light vehicles decreases from 100 km/h to 50 km/h due to the steep terrain. Category M vehicles can drive at 100 km/h on most of the route, but the limit drops to 60 km/h in the ghat section. Category M2 and M3 vehicles have a speed limit of 80 km/h on the main expressway and 40 km/h in the ghat area. Goods-carrying vehicles have a speed limit of 80 km/h on the main expressway and 40 km/h in the ghat section.
