Mumbai Bathed in Heavy Rains as IMD Issues Yellow Alert

Mumbai experienced heavy rainfall on Tuesday, prompting the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue a yellow alert for the city. The downpours are expected to continue throughout the day, with wind speeds reaching up to 45-55 mph. Other parts of Maharashtra, including Thane, Nandurbarh, and Nasik, are also under a yellow alert.

Heavy Rains Lash Mumbai, Red Alert Issued for Maharashtra Districts

Mumbai continues to experience heavy rainfall, with a moderate to heavy rain forecast for the next 24 hours. The IMD has issued a red alert for very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in Satara and Ratnagiri districts of Maharashtra. An orange alert has also been issued for Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Sindhudurg, and Raigad. The Met department has forecasted “extremely heavy rainfall” in Gujarat, Goa, and Maharashtra until July 24.
