Fresno Woman Pleads Not Guilty to Bar Shooting Murder

Domonique Jones, 26, entered a not guilty plea on Wednesday morning in connection with a deadly shooting outside a Fresno bar on April 14. Police allege that Jones shot and killed Gilberto Gutierrez, 38, who had intervened in an argument outside Ewell’s Place. Isaiah Clayton, another individual involved in the incident, also pleaded not guilty to firearm charges.

Michigan Woman Faces Murder Charges in Drunk Driving Crash That Killed Two Children

Marshella Chidester, 66, of Michigan was arraigned on Tuesday, facing eight counts, including second-degree murder, in connection with a fatal crash at a boat club that left two children dead and several others injured. According to prosecutors, Chidester was intoxicated while driving her SUV and crashed into the club during a child’s birthday party. The victims, 8-year-old Alanah Phillips and her 4-year-old brother, Zayn Phillips, were killed in the incident. Chidester’s blood alcohol level was reportedly over the legal limit. She has been jailed, and her bond was set at $1.5 million. A probable cause conference has been scheduled for April 30, followed by a preliminary examination on May 6.
