Former NFL MVP Matt Ryan Retires from Atlanta Falcons

Matt Ryan, a former NFL MVP, has announced his retirement from the Atlanta Falcons, bringing an end to a 15-year career. Drafted by the Falcons in 2008, Ryan spent 14 seasons with the team, becoming their all-time leading passer with 59,735 yards and 367 touchdowns. Despite leading the team to the Super Bowl in 2016 and earning the MVP title that year, Ryan’s career also saw some lows, including an infamous Super Bowl loss against the New England Patriots. After a trade to the Indianapolis Colts in 2022, Ryan was benched and eventually decided to end his playing days.

2023-24 NBA Awards: Finalists Revealed
