Nanushka’s Nostalgic Resort Collection Draws Inspiration from Designer’s Past

Nanushka’s Creative Director Sandra Sándor has unveiled her resort collection, which merges elements of the brand’s core codes with personal memories from her late teenage years in Budapest. This fusion is evident in the collection’s eclectic mix of fabrics and textures, from patchwork details and hook hardware reminiscent of her grandfather’s workwear to fringe-like textures and zip detailing inspired by biker subculture and the pursuit of comfortable clothing. Sustainability remains a key focus, with the use of OKOBOR alt-leather and regenerated leather made from recycled leather offcuts.

Nanushka’s Resort Collection: Nostalgia and Sustainability Intertwined

Nanushka’s creative director, Sandra Sándor, drew inspiration from her teenage years and grandfather’s wardrobe for the resort collection. Patchworked details, hook hardwares, and fringes evoke memories of the past, while OKOBOR alt-leather and regenerated leather contribute to sustainability. The collection features comfortable sportswear and signature monogrammed satins and leathers. As Nanushka approaches its 20th anniversary, the brand plans to expand into kidswear, building on its core values of nostalgia and sustainability.
