The Election Commission of India (ECI) is expected to issue a clean chit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a complaint accusing him of violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during campaigning in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh. The complaint alleged that Modi appealed to vote in the name of religion by referring to the construction of the Ram Temple, development of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, and the return of Sikh holy book Guru Granth Sahib from Afghanistan. However, the ECI has reportedly concluded that these statements do not constitute such an appeal.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of being afraid of a caste census and vowing to ensure justice for the marginalized. Gandhi asserted that a caste census will be the first step taken by his government if it is formed. AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has challenged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to clarify his stance on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s controversial remarks against Muslims. Owaisi accused Modi of spreading hatred against Muslims and warned that he would be held responsible for any fresh riots in the country.

BJP’s Minority Morcha district president Usman Ghani has been expelled from the party for six years for criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks in Rajasthan.
