Erik Jones was released from UAB University Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, on Sunday night after a terrifying crash at Talladega Superspeedway. The 27-year-old driver was evaluated at the infield care center after the crash but was soon brought back due to continued pain in his back. He was then transported to a local hospital for further testing before being released at 11:30 p.m. Jones complained of soreness but said he was ‘alright’ and would focus on recovering for next week’s race.
