Haroon Lorgat, former CEO of the International Cricket Council, has been appointed as the commissioner of America’s National Cricket League (NCL). Lorgat, known for his contributions to the development of cricket, aims to popularize the sport in the US by introducing a new 60-ball format and partnering with a university for the inaugural tournament. The league will also feature top-tier players from around the world, including Shahid Afridi and Suresh Raina, and renowned cricket veterans as mentors and coaches.
