Barnet vs Solihull Moors Preview: National League Playoff Semi-Final

Barnet and Solihull Moors will battle for a spot in the National League playoff final on Saturday at the Hive Stadium.

Barnet secured an automatic place in the semis after finishing second in the league, while Solihull advanced after defeating Halifax Town. Barnet has been in excellent form, going unbeaten in their last eight league matches, and will be confident of victory at home.

Solihull, however, has only lost once away from home since February and will be hoping to cause an upset. The two teams have a history of close matches, with six of their last seven encounters being draws or one-goal victories.

Barnet will be without Callum Stead, replaced by Idris Kanu in their previous match, while Solihull has Joe Sbarra in the starting lineup for Nana Boateng. Ultimately, Barnet’s home advantage and attacking quality could give them the edge in this crucial clash.

Ronald Acuña Jr. Sets New Atlanta Braves Franchise Record for Stolen Bases

Ronald Acuña Jr., the reigning National League MVP, has set a new franchise record for the Atlanta Braves with 190 career stolen bases. The four-time All-Star surpassed the previous record of 189, held by Rafael Furcal. Acuña reached the milestone on Monday, becoming the Braves’ all-time steals leader in just his sixth season with the team. Despite a slow start to the season in terms of power, Acuña remains a force on the base paths, ranking second in the league with 10 steals. The Braves’ right fielder is now just 50 steals behind Hank Aaron (240) on the Braves’ all-time list and 397th in MLB history.
