Government Slashes Prices of 41 Essential Medicines, Benefitting Diabetics and Cardiovascular Patients

In a bid to make healthcare more accessible, the Indian government has announced significant price reductions for 41 commonly used medicines and six formulations. These revised prices target various conditions, including diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, liver issues, infections, allergies, multivitamins, and antibiotics. This move is expected to benefit millions of patients who rely on these essential medications. The decision was made by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) during its 143rd meeting.
