In a tragic incident, two military helicopters collided mid-air in Malaysia during a rehearsal for the navy’s 90th anniversary, resulting in the deaths of all 10 crew members on board. The crash, involving an AW139 maritime operations helicopter and a lightweight Fennec, occurred at a naval base in northern Perak state. Footage captured the moment the main rotor blade of one helicopter struck the tall rotor of the other, leading to a disastrous loss of power and subsequent crash.
