New Jersey Congressman Donald Payne Jr. Dies at 65

Representative Donald Payne Jr., who represented New Jersey in the U.S. House of Representatives for over a decade, passed away at the age of 65. Governor Phil Murphy confirmed Payne’s passing in a statement expressing sorrow over the loss of a dear friend and steadfast advocate for New Jersey residents. Payne had been hospitalized for more than two weeks after suffering a cardiac episode due to diabetic complications and served in Congress since 2013.
