Etihad Airways to Boost Dublin-Abu Dhabi Frequency, Unveils New Bali Route

Etihad Airways is enhancing its Dublin-Abu Dhabi route frequency to 10 flights per week from July 23, 2024, offering improved connectivity to destinations like Australia, Thailand, and the Maldives. The airline has also announced new flights to Bali starting June 25th, operating four times weekly on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. SWISS Expands Winter Schedule with New Routes and Increased Frequencies

SWISS will expand its travel offerings in the 2024/25 winter schedule, continuing many of the routes introduced in the summer of 2024. The airline will maintain its new routes from Zurich to Washington DC, London Gatwick, Cluj-Napoca, and Košice, as well as the Geneva to Oslo route, throughout the winter. Additionally, SWISS plans to increase flight frequencies on long-haul routes to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, and Shanghai.

Norwegian Air Traffic Surges in April, New Routes Take Off

In April 2024, Norwegian Airlines and its subsidiary Widerøe experienced a significant increase in passenger traffic, with a combined total of 2,207,857 passengers. Norwegian Airlines, the main carrier, carried 1,892,362 passengers, representing an 18% increase in capacity. Widerøe, on the other hand, had 315,495 passengers, indicating a 13% growth compared to April 2023.

AirAsia Expands in India with New Routes to Kozhikode and Guwahati

AirAsia is expanding its network in India with two new routes to the cities of Kozhikode and Guwahati, bringing the airline’s total number of routes to the country to 15. The new services will commence on August 1, 2024, and will operate thrice weekly. To celebrate the launch, AirAsia is offering complimentary seats from Kuala Lumpur to Kozhikode and Guwahati, starting at just RM201 and INR4,132 respectively. Bookings are open until May 5, 2024, for travel between August 1 and June 17, 2025.
