India continues to shine at the Paris Paralympics 2024, with Nishad Kumar securing the country’s seventh medal in the men’s high jump. This comes after Preethi Pal’s bronze medal in the women’s 200m T35 event. India’s strong performance in shooting also continues, with a gold for Avani Lekhara and bronze medals for Mona Agarwal, Manish Narwal, and Rubina Francis.

Preethi Pal also bagged a bronze in the women’s 100m-T35 event, making it a successful day for Indian athletes. The day also saw impressive performances in Para badminton, Para archery, and Para table tennis.
Indian athlete Nishad Kumar secured India’s seventh medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympics with a silver medal in the men’s high jump T47 final. He cleared 2.04m but fell short at 2.08m, losing to Roderick Townsend of the USA who cleared the height on his first attempt.
