Amtrak and NJ Transit Trains Halted Due to Downed Power Lines

On Wednesday evening during rush hour, the travel plans of many were disrupted as downed overhead power lines caused significant delays and suspensions of Amtrak and NJ Transit train services. As a result, all Amtrak travel between Newark and New York Penn Station was temporarily paused, while NJ Transit cross-honored tickets and passes to ease the inconvenience. The incident highlights the importance of infrastructure maintenance and efficient communication in ensuring smooth and reliable travel experiences.
