Health Minister Unveils 100-Day Agenda for Public Healthcare

Health Minister JP Nadda has outlined a comprehensive 100-day agenda for the country’s public healthcare sector, prioritizing the expansion of health insurance coverage, digitization of routine immunizations, and addressing non-communicable diseases. The agenda includes extending the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana to individuals aged 70 and above, launching the U-WIN portal for digital immunization records, and establishing the National Health Claims Exchange for streamlined insurance claim processing. The ministry also aims to enhance operational efficiency by introducing faster license issuance for certain food businesses under the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.
