Amtrak has announced two Requests for Information (RFIs) to amplify high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity along the densely populated Northeast Corridor (NEC) stretching from Washington, D.C. to Boston, representing a significant investment to upgrade the in-train digital experience. This initiative aims to establish a cutting-edge wireless network exclusively for the NEC route, leveraging fiber optics and advanced technology. The information gathered through these RFIs will pave the way for Amtrak to explore expanding reliable Wi-Fi services to its nationwide rail network.
