IMD Forecasts Heatwave Conditions in Ten States on Friday

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heatwave conditions in ten states across India on Friday, May 31. Yellow alerts have been issued for Bihar, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Odisha. The weather department predicts that heatwave conditions will gradually subside over Northwest and Central India from May 31.

IMD Forecasts Heatwave in Northwest India, Predicts Rainfall for Southern States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for northwest India, predicting temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius in several regions including Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. Light rainfall is expected in southern states such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh, while isolated heavy rainfall is likely in parts of northeast India. The IMD has also predicted a gradual rise in maximum temperatures across northwest and east India over the next five days.

Heatwave to Scorch Northwest India from May 16

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a fresh spell of heatwave over northwest India, beginning on May 16th. Western Rajasthan, Western Uttar Pradesh, and South Haryana are expected to experience heat wave conditions on May 16th, while hot and humid weather will prevail over Saurashtra and Kutch for the next four days.
