Man Jailed for Carrying Loaded Glock Pistol at Notting Hill Carnival

Jade Charles, 35, from Queen’s Park, was sentenced to five years in prison for possession of a firearm and ammunition at Southwark Crown Court in September 2023. The loaded Glock pistol was seized in a bum bag at the Notting Hill Carnival, putting innocent members of the public at risk. The seizure was part of a joint investigation by the Met and City of London police, highlighting the success of officers’ vigilance in preventing violent offenses.
