This comes after the ACC cut short the tenure of the previous DG, Nalin Prabhat, who has been appointed as the Special Director General of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The NSG is also set to establish new units in Ayodhya, Pathankot, and Kerala this year to improve response times and aid local forces.
