A powerful explosion shook a CRPF school in Delhi’s Rohini area on Sunday morning, raising serious security concerns. While no injuries were reported, the blast caused significant damage to the school building, nearby shops, and a vehicle. Authorities, including the National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), and National Disaster Relief Force, are on the scene investigating the incident. The blast, which was felt hundreds of meters away, left behind a chemical-like odor and thick white smoke. This incident has sparked heightened security measures in the capital city as authorities work to determine the cause of the explosion.

NSG Gets New Director General, Srinivasan Takes Charge, New Units Planned

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has appointed Senior IPS officer B Srinivasan as the new Director General of the National Security Guard (NSG). Srinivasan, a 1992 batch IPS officer, will take charge until his superannuation in August 2027. This comes after the ACC cut short the tenure of the previous DG, Nalin Prabhat, who has been appointed as the Special Director General of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The NSG is also set to establish new units in Ayodhya, Pathankot, and Kerala this year to improve response times and aid local forces.

CRPF Chief Anish Dayal Singh Takes Over Additional Charge of NSG

CRPF Director General Anish Dayal Singh has been appointed to lead the National Security Guard (NSG) in an additional capacity following the appointment of Nalin Prabhat as the designated Director General of Police (DGP) for Jammu and Kashmir. Singh, already holding additional charges for two other forces, will now be at the helm of three important security agencies.
