The lawyer for suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, who was arrested in connection with an obscene video case, has shared his client’s initial response after returning to India. The lawyer, Arun, stated that Revanna has urged the media to refrain from negative campaigning and that he is fully cooperating with the investigation into the alleged sexual harassment case. Revanna reportedly told his lawyer that he is prepared to face the consequences of his actions.

JD(S) MLA and former Karnataka Minister HD Revanna has been granted interim bail in connection with a sexual harassment case. The bail was granted by the 42nd Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court (ACMM) on Thursday, days after Revanna secured conditional bail in a kidnapping case linked to the ‘obscene video’ case.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) has stated that no victims have come forward to register a complaint against a Karnataka MP with the women’s panel despite allegations of a fake complaint being filed against him. One woman who reached out to the commission alleged that she was coerced into filing a false complaint against the JDS leader. The NCW also noted that 700 online complaints are linked to a social activist group and have no direct connection to the primary complainant.
