The March Nielsen ratings are out, and KRTH (101.1 FM) has emerged victorious in the Los Angeles area, beating out long-time leader KOST (103.5 FM). Oldies proved to be a winning format, with KRTH taking the top spot and several other oldies stations ranking highly. Alternative music also saw a resurgence, with KROQ (106.7 FM) overtaking Alt 98.7 FM (KYSR) as the top-rated station in that category.
