New iPad Pro to Feature OLED Displays, but Supply Issues May Affect 11-Inch Model

Apple’s upcoming new generation iPad Pro will reportedly feature OLED displays for the first time, but the 11-inch model may face supply constraints due to OLED display shipments. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro is expected to have higher OLED display shipments than the smaller Pro model, with Samsung facing technical challenges in producing the displays. This could make the 11-inch iPad Pro more difficult to buy at launch.

The new iPad Pro is also expected to have a slimmer design and be powered by the M3 chip. Apple is expected to announce the new iPads at a special event on May 7.

iPad Air Stock Dwindles Ahead of New Model Launch

Inventory of the current iPad Air is decreasing at retail stores, hinting at the imminent release of new models in early May. In contrast, iPad Pro stock remains plentiful. Expected upgrades for the new iPad Air include the M2 chip and a 12.9-inch display option, while the iPad Pro may feature OLED displays, the M3 chip, and new accessories.
